The Buffalo Bills’ Week 5 thrilling win over the Los Angeles Rams came with a bunch of highs and a good amount of lows. One of the lows that the Bills went through was losing right tackle Spencer Brown for the game due to a back injury.
Brown went down, and backup Tylan Grable stepped into his place. While Brown managed to walk off the field, once he was off the field, he was eventually ruled out for the game. Luckily, Grable stepped in and was solid for most of the night. He did have a holding penalty called on him, but he also showed a great amount of effort in both pass and run protection.
However, we know that the Bills' offensive line is one of the best units in the league when they have their starting five and Spencer Brown plays a role in it.
Spencer Brown's back injury doesn't seem to be anything major
According to Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic, Brown said that his MRI that had on his back came clean, and that "the plan *right now* is that he's going to try and play Sunday vs the Raiders."

Early on in his career, Brown had dealt with a back injury which set him back in production. The first two seasons of his career were very forgetful because of his inconsistent play, and dealing with the back injury. Then in 2023, Brown turned things around for the better and he played like the best offensive linemen in the entire league.
Just before the start of the 2024 season, the Bills gave Brown a 4-year, $72 million deal to solidify the right tackle position of the future. He has played well since getting that contract, and part of the reason why is because of how great of an offensive linemen coach Aaron Kromer was.
Spencer Brown on track to play Week 6 against Raiders
If Brown is able to suit up this Sunday out in Las Vegas, the Bills will have five of their starting offensive line. With Maxx Crosby lining up right across the trenches, the Bills' offensive line is going to need to make sure that he doesn't disrupt their gameplan. That's where a good amount of pressure on Brown comes into play.
However, if Brown is not able to go, Grable will be back in as the replacement and the Bills may need to get creative with how they draw up their offensive scheme away from Crosby.
