It's no secret what direction the Buffalo Bills will likely be going in when the 2025 NFL Draft kicks off in a little over a month. While the defense wasn't terrible, it's clear that it needs a bit of a makeover this offseason and that's why it won't surprise anyone that most mock drafts have Buffalo adding help on that side of the ball.

While, yes, the Bills could still use help at wide receiver, most of their needs are on defense. Let's see who the draft experts are linking Buffalo to in the latest mock draft roundup.

Bills strictly targeting defense in 2025 NFL mock draft roundup

CBS Sports: Maxwell Hairston, CB (Kentucky)

Cornerback might be the Bills' biggest need this offseason. While Kaiir Elam wasn't looking like he was worthy of being a first-round pick, his absence makes the cornerback position even more important in Buffalo. That's why it makes perfect sense that Pete Prisco of CBS Sports would link the Bills to Maxwell Hairston out of Kentucky.

The Athletic: Mike Green, EDGE (Marshall)

Ben Standig of The Athletic actually has Buffalo moving up in the draft. He has them striking a trade with the Rams to move up from 30th overall to 26th overall and landing Mike Green out of Marshall. The Thundering Herd EDGE rusher had an eye-popping 17 sacks during the 2024 season and would be a wonderful addition to the Bills' pass-rushing department. It might be risky to move up to grab a player from a non-Power-4 conference but if Green pans out, watch out offenses!

NBC Sports: Kenneth Grant, DL (Michigan)

Connor Rogers of NBC Sports also liked the idea of Buffalo nabbing a defensive player and he linked them to Kenneth Grant out of Michigan. Adding help on the interior defensive line wouldn't be a bad thing and Grant is massive (331 pounds, per Rogers' write-up). This feels very much like a 'Bills-esque' pick.
