When it comes to running the AFC East, the Buffalo Bills probably don't have all that much to worry about at the present moment. The Bills are clearly the best team in the division right now, but there are a lot of people jumping back on the New England Patriots' bandwagon after the hiring of Mike Vrabel and what we saw last year from quarterback Drake Maye.

But beyond the most high-profile players on the team, another young player in New England could end up being a major problem for the Bills and everyone else in the division. Second-round pick TreVeyon Henderson was a true can't-miss prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft, and yet teams let him fall to Day 2. The Patriots scooped him up and probably got themselves a steal.

If the early returns at training camp are any indication, he could be one of the biggest impact players from this rookie class right away.

TreVeyon Henderson could end up being a problem for the Bills

Coming out of Ohio State, there were very few flaws in Henderson's game at all. One of the most notable traits he showcased consistently at Ohio State was his willingness to pass protect, and do it well. Henderson's value on third down goes far beyond just being an excellent receiver, which he is.

He's got the type of explosiveness, vision, and elusiveness in space to be an effective every-down back, and it wouldn't be shocking to see him end up leading the Patriots' stable of backs in overall touches, even as a rookie with Rhamondre Stevenson still on the roster.

The Patriots might have struck gold with their young running back, who is already proving himself to be a young quarterback's best friend. Because of all the big games Henderson played in from an early age at Ohio State, you can expect the Patriots to throw him into the fire early on in his career. And from the sounds of it, they're not afraid to put that pressure on him.

Head coach Mike Vrabel has done nothing but gush about Henderson all training camp:

Again, the Bills probably don't really have anything to worry about immediately, but Henderson is going to present a new challenge to everyone in the division. He's got the type of ability to be a significant impact player early on for the Patriots, and the type of dynamic playmaker to push that team further up the standings slowly but surely.
