If the Bills don’t leave the NFL Draft with a cornerback prospect that they can pair with Christian Benford, fans are going to be mad. Cornerback has been a position of weakness before for the Bills and it’s cost them in the playoffs big time. They took a swing on Kaiir Elam back in 2022 and it failed miserably. Brandon Beane now has a chance to correct that mistake.

With Buffalo being on the backend of the first round, we have to be realistic and realize that the Bills aren’t getting Travis Hunter out of Colorado. At the same time, the Bills will still have an opportunity to draft a high quality cornerback and one prospect that should be on their radar is Trey Amos out of Ole Miss.

Amos is a corner who isn’t afraid of press coverage. As a matter of fact, he thrives in it. In addition, he has the size to take on bigger receivers for 50/50 balls that are up in the air.

He is a first round prospect for sure, but how far down will he go on the board? With Buffalo sitting at No. 30, there are plenty of threats that could take Amos away from the Bills.

Bills' 4 biggest threats who could steal CB Trey Amos in NFL Draft

Los Angeles Chargers (No. 22)

The Chargers could always use more physicality on their defense in the secondary and Amos would be a perfect fit. Asante Samuel Jr. still remains unsigned as well so bringing in Amos as a replacement wouldn’t be such a bad idea for the Chargers.

Having Amos in the same secondary as Derwin James sure would be scary for years to come out in the AFC West. Not to mention, you can never have too many corners when you have to face Patrick Mahomes twice a season.

Green Bay Packers (No. 23)

With rumors about Jaire Alexander possibly not returning to Green Bay next year, the Packers can easily find his replacement with Amos. Even if Alexander is back with the Packers for 2025, it still wouldn’t hurt to draft his eventual replacement. Green Bay has a strong secondary already and adding Amos to it for the NFC North would make life tough for opposing quarterbacks.

Los Angeles Rams (No. 26)

The Rams have a very talented young defensive line for the future. They have managed to recreate Aaron Donald with three different players up front with Braden Fiske, Kobie Turner, and Jared Verse. Now they just need to add some corners to help them create even more pressure. If you put Amos in LA with his ability to keep a receiver locked down, that makes life a whole lot easier for the defensive line.

Baltimore Ravens (No. 27)

The Ravens’ secondary was atrocious at times last season so any secondary help that they can get, they should be taking it. Much like the Rams’ the Ravens have a solid defensive line who can get after the quarterback. It’s just their secondary that needs a major improvement. Putting Amos in Baltimore, who would potentially get the chance to pick of Josh Allen should the Bills and Ravens face each other, is a scary sight.
