The Buffalo Bills officially kicked off the post-Sean McDermott era as they are going with Joe Brady as their new head coach. After interviewing nine candidates for the job, the Bills decided to promote Brady and it makes great sense when you think about the setup they have, and what they want.
With Brady now in control, there are going to be some changes on the coaching staff. One of them has already come out and it should be no surprise to anyone. According to Tom Pelissero, Bobby Babich, who has been the Bills’ defensive coordinator the last two seasons, is joining the Packers as their defensive pass game coordinator.
The Packers are hiring Bobby Babich as their defensive pass game coordinator/secondary, per source.

Babich joined the staff under Sean McDermott back in 2017, staying with the organization and eventually working his way up to defensive coordinator. While it was a great hire at the time, it turns out that Babich just didn't seem ready to be a coordinator just yet.
Bobby Babich leaves Buffalo for Green Bay (and it makes sense)
With Brady now in charge, it should be no surprise to see Babich not be in Buffalo anymore. Whether it’s because he interviewed willingly or was told that he wouldn’t be back, Babich was not able to elevate this defense to the standard that fans were hoping for. McDermott was even helping with calling the plays, showing that the defense was not doing well under Babich.
In addition to Babich being gone, Cameron Wolfe reported that Bills' WR coach Adam Henry will be leaving the Bills and join the Steelers as their new WR coach.
With Babich officially out of the building, the Bills will now be looking for a new defensive coordinator. Yesterday, Adam Schefter reported that Broncos’ defensive pass game coordinator Jim Leonhard, would be a leading candidate to become the next defensive coordinator for the Bills. That would be a dynamite hire for Buffalo and Brady.
Changes are coming, Bills fans. While it can be scary, it can also be great for a team. Only time will tell how all of this plays out and if it was the right move or not.
