Week 8 of the NFL season is here and the Buffalo Bills are back in action with the Baltimore Ravens coming to town.

The Bills are looking to get their 12th consecutive post-bye week win, and Joe Brady will get his first chance to continue the success that former head coach Sean McDermott kept going for 9 seasons. The extra rest was needed for them after back-to-back west coast games, and with the Ravens coming off of their second consecutive divisional loss, the Bills have the advantage.

Bills' challenge against Ravens won't be so easy despite extra rest

Even though the advantage is there for Buffalo, the Ravens match up well against the Bills. Just like Buffalo, the Ravens are under a new regime with Jesse Minter who is a defensive mastermind himself. At the same time, Joe Brady and his Bills offense has been lighting up the scoreboard this season.

Luckily, the offensive line for Buffalo has a great chance to dominate the line of scrimmage which could control the tempo of the game. One reason why Buffalo's offensive line has been successful is because of the continuity that this unit has had for many seasons.

Even with the departure of David Edwards in free agency, the Bills trusted Alec Anderson who has been with the Bills as a backup and was named the starting left guard entering this season. Up to this point, Anderson has delivered great results to the Bills.

Alec Anderson has helped keep Bills' OL among elite units

According to Next Gen Stats, per the Buffalo Bills' PR team, Anderson has only allowed a 4% pressure rate in pass protection, which ranks him 4th among all left guards in the NFL. Buffalo extended Anderson to a one-year deal worth $2.5 million and they are getting a fantastic return.

Anderson was already a great run blocker and with his success that he has in pass protection, the Bills are getting high production and Anderson is setting himself up for a nice-sized contract after this season.

While Buffalo's offensive line has been one of the best this season, their Week 8 matchup against the Ravens won't be an easy task. These two teams know each other and Anderson will be tested big time as Baltimore's defense looks to pressure Josh Allen.
