The Maxx Crosby situation with the Las Vegas Raiders has been, and will continue to be the top storyline across the NFL until a resolution happens. Crosby is arguably a Top-10 player in the league but he's on a team that has done nothing but having losing records, and now they are heading into yet another rebuild. He deserves to be on a winning team, like the Buffalo Bills.
While first-time head coach Klint Kubiak has a ton of promise as the next head coach for the Raiders, Crosby is not going to be in his prime forever and he deserves to win now. He is one of the best edge rushers in the game and he would instantly improve any defense that is part of a contending team.
The Bills seem to always find themselves in a search for an edge rusher. They had Joey Bosa this past season, and Von Miller the three seasons prior. Bosa brought value early on in 2025, but then slowly regressed down the stretch. Now, Buffalo could very well be looking for another veteran pass rusher to add to Jim Leonhard's defense.
Well, the Bills could be looking to make a potential move based on what Albert Breer from Sports Illustrated is reporting...
Bills reportedly eyeing availability for DE Maxx Crosby
According to Breer, he said he is "leaning towards" the idea of Crosby getting traded. "I’d lean toward a Maxx Crosby trade happening, and maybe this week. But there’s going to have to be some needle-threading." said Breer.
Breer then mentioned the Bills as one of the many teams that are keeping an eye on this situation with Crosby. "We should know soon enough which path the Raiders are taking, with teams like Dallas, Chicago, Baltimore, Buffalo, New England, Philadelphia and the Rams keeping tabs on his availability." said Breer.
Obviously, any team should be grateful for Crosby because he is a game-wrecker. The Bills would certainly benefit from having him, as he would immediately become the best player on their defense by over a mile.Â
It may take a lot for the Raiders to ultimately trade Crosby, but his value is very high right now and the Raiders are not in a win-now mode. Now granted, I don’t see Brandon Beane shipping off a massive package for one player, but he is facing a ton of pressure to make a big splash this offseason. Anything seems possible at this point.
