The NFL is filled with all kinds of superstar edge rushers and the Buffalo Bills will be facing a great number of them in 2026. Even as dynamic as Josh Allen is, as well as having a solid offensive line in front of him, there are times when edge rushers can take over a game and make life miserable for an offense.

Buffalo’s schedule this upcoming season will be tough, and the offense will have their hands full with some of the best pass rushers in the league. If the Bills have a tough time handling them, Buffalo will be in for some trouble.

5.) Micah Parsons, Green Bay Packers (Week 14 - SNF)

The biggest move that took place before the 2025 season was the Dallas Cowboys trading Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers. Parsons is a game changer, and the fact that Dallas decided to trade him within the NFC conference was shocking.

Prior to tearing his ACL late in the season, Parsons recorded his fifth consecutive 12+ sack season with 12.5 sacks. He was a difference maker for Green Bay’s defense and since the Bills don’t play the Packers until December time, Parsons should very well be going up against Buffalo’s offense.

4.) Aidan Hutchinson, Detroit Lions (Week 2 - TNF)

The Bills will host the Detroit Lions early on in the season. Buffalo will be hosting the Lions as they debut their primetime opening game in the new Highmark Stadium, and they will have to deal with Aidan Hutchinson on a short week on Thursday Night Football.

Hutchinson had a bounce back year after a season-ending leg early on in the 2024 season. He racked up 14.5 sacks and will now be looking to help the Lions get back into the playoffs. Overall, Hutchinson is one of those players that is great at stopping the run, but is phenomenal in rushing the quarterback. Josh Allen could very well have a tough time against him.

3.) Maxx Crosby, Las Vegas Raiders (Week 6)

The biggest story early on in the offseason was when the Baltimore Ravens and Las Vegas Raiders agreed on a trade that would send Crosby to the Ravens. However, before the new league year started, the Ravens backed out of the deal which kept Crosby in Las Vegas. Now, the Bills will see Crosby early on in the season in Vegas.

After being part of this twister of a story, Crosby will now be looking to show the entire league exactly who the player he is that the Ravens passed up on. He recorded his third 10+ sack season in the last four seasons, giving him momentum to help the Raiders turn things around with a new coaching regime led by Klint Kubiak.

2.) Will Anderson Jr., Houston Texans (Week 1)

Right out of the gate, the Bills will be forced to deal with a wrecking duo of Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson Jr. in Week 1 down in Houston. In last season’s battle, Anderson chased Allen all over the field and the Texans defense sacked Allen 8 times.

Anderson is coming off a 12-sack season and after signing an extension with Houston this offseason, he is about to enter his prime and there is no question that Buffalo will have trouble against him in Week 1.

1.) Myles Garrett, Los Angeles Rams (Week 5 - MNF)

I wasn’t expecting to put Myles Garrett on this list, but a trade between the Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Rams changed things. The Bills don’t play the Browns this season, but they will be facing the Rams in Week 5 on Monday Night Football, and now they will have to deal with Garrett.

Coming off a historic season with 23 sacks, Garrett joins a contender for the first time in his career and Buffalo will be tasked to contain him, while also dealing with a powerful offense. Garrett can cause chaos and I don’t see how he doesn’t against the Bills at some point.
