It seemed like at one point, the Cincinnati Bengals were going to take down the Buffalo Bills once again. The Bengals had a 28-18 lead in the 4th quarter and it just looked like the Bills were going to get knocked out of the playoff picture in the AFC. But then, the Buffalo offense turned up the heat while the defense came off with back-to-back interceptions to make a thrilling comeback win over Cincinnati.

Buffalo earned a hard 39-34 win over the Bengals to keep their playoff hopes alive and it was one of the best 4th quarter performances the Bills have had since Week 1 against the Ravens. Buffalo put up 21 points in the 4th quarter alone, outscoring the Bengals 28-13 in the second half.

While things still need to be corrected moving forward, this was a phenomenal game by the Bills.

Winners and losers for Bills in Week 14

Winners

QB Josh Allen

Without this guy, the Bills stand no chance at making this comeback. With over 300 total yards and 4 total touchdowns (including a 40-yard rushing yard touchdown), Josh Allen is the clear MVP of this game. He finished with 251 yards through the air and 78 yards on the ground.

Allen put the Bills on his back and helped the Bills overcome a ten point deficit early on in the 4th quarter. In addition, Allen's passing touchdown he had to Khalil Shakir, he is now the first player in NFL history to have 20+ passing and 10+ rushing touchdowns in three seasons.

CB Christian Benford

After having a game-changing interception last week against the Steelers, Christian Benford struck again against the Bengals. The Bills were down by three, and Joe Burrow tried to throw a quick pass to Ja’Marr Chase and it was picked off by Benford that was returned for a touchdown to put the Bills ahead for the first time in the game.

In addition to his game-changing interception, Benford did a great job at containing Chase who had just 44 yards in the game.

TE Dalton Kincaid

In his first game back from injury, Dalton Kincaid was a crucial addition to this offense. He was targeted 5 times and had 4 catches for 41 yards including a 5-yard touchdown catch that brought the Bills within three in the third quarter.

K Matt Prater

With the conditions of this game weather-wise, Matt Prater didn’t have an easy task but he delivered on all of his kicks. He went 4/4 on PATs and had himself a 26-yard field goal early on in the game. The snow was coming down consistently and he was perfect for the Bills.

Losers

RB James Cook

Even though Cook did have 80 yards on the ground and averaged over 4 yards per carry, he had two fumbles on the same drive that could have cost the Bills the game. He almost got into the endzone, but he fumbled at the one that went out of bounds, but the Bills were called for a holding penalty that brought it back. Then, as Cook was about to score later in the drive, he fumbled inside the five and the Bengals recovered it to take it back.

Rushing wise, it wasn’t Cook’s best performance but not his worst either. The two fumbles though could have been extremely bad for the Bills.

DE Greg Rousseau

With no Joey Bosa today (hamstring injury), many thought that Greg Rousseau would provide the pass rush that he hasn’t all season long. That couldn’t be any more false. His name was barely called and fans should be beyond frustrated with his lack of production against the pass.
