To be a Buffalo Bills fan is to worry. Even when things are good – and the Bills have the highest winning percentage since 2020 – there are even more reasons to panic and feel like the sky is falling. Entering 2026, nothing has changed on that front.

Going into the new season, one would think the Bills were a putrid offense, not one that finished fourth in total yards per game. With the chance to do something big ahead of them, the Bills have the potential to be even better in 2026. Here are a few bold predictions that may not be so bold when all is said and done.

4 predictions for the 2026 Buffalo Bills offense

4.) D.J. Moore will be the first Bills receiver to hit 1,000 yards since 2023

The reception to Moore’s acquisition has largely been lukewarm. Moore was the much more realistic option given the Bills’ assets and cap situation.

In reality, it looks to be an underrated move. Moore had his best seasons in Carolina under his new head coach Joe Brady. While his total yards went down for the second season in a row, his yards per target increased and his yards per attempt were about at his career average.

Moore is still in his prime and has the speed to be a difference maker. More importantly, he’s reunited with the coach who got his best and has never, ever played with a quarterback on the level of Josh Allen. Moore should become a preferred target in no time, and should become the first 1k receiver the Bills have had since Stefon Diggs.

3.) James Cook will be in the Top 5 in rushing and receiving yards

James Cook became the first NFL rushing king out of Buffalo since O.J. Simpson in 1976. He became an elite runner and an integral piece to one of the league’s best offenses. As a receiver, he showed flashes but finished 16th among running backs with 291 yards receiving. If anything, turnovers limited his opportunities.

As the passing game looks to ramp up and Brady talked about screens being a big part of the offense, look for Cook’s presence in the passing game to be elevated. He will almost certainly not lead the NFL in rushing again but could balance that out with more production as a receiver. Cook as the potential to be a Top 5 runner and receiver among the NFL’s backs.

2.) Dalton Kincaid will be healthy and finish Top 5 in tight end receiving yards

At first glance, Kincaid wasn’t outstanding as a receiver. He caught 39 passes for 571 yards and five touchdowns last season. But the underlying numbers are what really tell you about his impact on the offense and his rapport with Allen.

Kincaid finished just 102 yards off his best season ever on 34 fewer receptions. He hit a new career-high in touchdown catches and success rate while taking a major step forward in yards per target (6.0 to 11.7). He was the only legitimate downfield threat the Bills had last season. With more weapons at receiver, it should open things up for Kincaid to take his game to the next level while playing 16 games or more for the first time since his rookie season.

1.) The Bills will be Top 5 in rushing and passing offense

The Bills led the NFL in rushing yards per game and finished 15th in passing yards per game. With greater balance, the Bills will slide a bit in rushing but should take a big step forward in passing. With Cook and Allen running the ball, they should be a top 5 rushing offense at worst.

Remember, this was the fourth best team in the NFL in terms of yards per game. If they can find greater balance between passing and running, they can and will be even better in terms of total offense. That balance will make them more difficult to attack and ideally take some pressure off Allen.

The Bills improve on an already top 5 offense

Many people tend to forge that the very flawed Bills offense was a Top 5 unit a season ago. With Moore, draft pick Skyler Bell, and a healthy Joshua Palmer, the hope is that the passing offense can close the gap and make the Bills one of the most complete and dynamic offenses in football.

With Allen and Cook at premium positions, they will be a good offense capable of dominance. With Brady at the helm and upgrades at receiver, this is going to be one of the best Bills offenses we have ever seen.
