The Buffalo Bills know the heat is on, and with a one-game lead on the New York Jets, they need to come out of this trip with a victory. Everyone knows how the Bills have recently struggled in Metlife against their division rivals, but seeing as the Jets just fired their head coach Robert Saleh, the advantage should go to Buffalo in this matchup. The Bills are favored by -2.5 points in this matchup, according to DraftKings Sportsbook, but what needs to happen for them to avoid going winless in their last three games? Their offense needs to get back on track, and it means getting some of their players in a rut back and producing. Let’s take a look at three offensive players the Bills need to shine this week.

Wide Receiver Keon Coleman

The Bills need to see production from one of their receivers this week. Curtis Samuel has been a non-factor at the beginning of the season, and Khalil Shakir is returning from an ankle injury, so it's unclear what his production will be. That leaves Keon Coleman as the next best option. He’s shown flashes of success but hasn’t put it all together yet. It’ll be tough to get him going against a strong Jets secondary, with Sauce Gardner likely going to be shadowing him during the game, but there’s no time to get him involved like now.

Running back Ty Johnson

James Cook is returning from a foot injury, and the Bills haven’t said what his usage will be. We could see more of Ty Johnson than we’ve seen this season, with a sprinkle of rookie Ray Davis. The Bills saw a good RB2 last season in Ty Johnson, now they’re going to be relying on him more this week as they let James Cook heal his foot. Cook has only practiced once this week, and he was listed as “limited”.Johnson has done well in the passing game since coming to Buffalo, and the Bills may be relying a bit more on the air attack this week than they normally do.

Offensive tackle Spencer Brown

The Bills offensive line has been playing well to begin the season, outside of the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans tearing it apart. Spencer Brown has been a big part of their success, only allowing one sack on 290 snaps played, as well as a 65.2 pass protection grade from PFF. Despite that success, his penalties have gotten a bit out of hand. He’s been flagged six times this season, with it getting more prominent over the last two weeks. Against a great pass rush, led by Will McDonald who’s totaled six sacks, the Bills offensive line will have to be at their best for the full 60 minutes on Monday night.
