Seventh Round: Nesta Jade Silvera
Original Pick: Nick Broeker
The final player the Buffalo Bills may regret not drafting is Nesta Jade Silvera, who could have been selected with their first pick in the seventh round when they drafted offensive lineman Nick Broeker. After the selection of O’Cyrus Torrence, the Bills didn’t need to add another player there with the selection of Broeker.
A better use of that pick would have been drafting Nesta Jade Silvera, who was selected by the Las Vegas Raiders with the next pick in the seventh round.
The reason for selecting Nesta Jade Silvera is the same as selecting Siaki Ika in the third round in that the Buffalo Bills could be looking at a complete overhaul at defensive tackle next offseason. Nesta Jade Silvera played for Arizona State this past season after four seasons at the University of Miami.
He doesn’t have the upside of Siaki Ika but he certainly is good enough to be a part of the rotation for the Bills at defensive tackle. He is better against the run but does have some burst that allows him to make plays in the backfield.
