Safety

JL Skinner, Christopher Smith, Jammie Robinson, Brandon Joseph

One position that hasn’t been discussed much for the Buffalo Bills to this point is the safety position. The reason being that they were able to bring back Jordan Poyer, signed free agent Taylor Rapp and got great news about Damar Hamlin potentially returning this season.

However, similar to defensive tackle, there could be some concerns at the position past this season as Hyde and Rapp are set to be free agents after the year and Poyer only signed a two-year deal.

When looking at the positions and the players still available in the 2023 NFL Draft, the safety position may be one of the most talented. This was a position that teams waited to draft and it wasn’t until the second round that the first safety was selected, which was Brian Branch.

For the Buffalo Bills, four safeties that stand out that any one of them would be excellent selections on Day 3 include JL Skinner from Boise State, Christopher Smith from Georgia, Jammie Robinson from Florida State and Brandon Joseph from Notre Dame.

If the Bills are able to draft any one of these four on the final day of the 2023 NFL Draft, it would be a great addition to what is already looking like a very promising draft for them.
