The interior of the offensive line is another part of the roster that the Buffalo Bills could look to address in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft. This was an area of concern last season and while they did add Connor McGovern in free agency, this could use some additional talent.

While O’Cyrus Torrence out of Florida is considered the best guard in this year’s draft, the player that the Buffalo Bills would likely target is Joe Tippmann out of Wisconsin. He only played center during his time in college but is very athletic and could compete at guard as a rookie. Tippmann was estimated to have the third best athleticism score among centers by NFL Next Gen Stats.

The selection of Joe Tippmann would give the Buffalo Bills flexibility in the future with Mitch Morse getting older and potentially being released after the 2023 season due to his cap hit. The Bills could have Tippmann on the roster as a backup center and guard as a rookie and then take over as the starter for Morse.
