Damien Harris

The last player would certainly be surprising and the only way I see the Buffalo Bills releasing Damien Harris would be if they drafted Bijan Robinson in the 2023 NFL Draft. It would likely need to be a first round pick and it is hard to imagine the Bills using a first round pick on the position.

However, if the Buffalo Bills were to add a running back early in the 2023 NFL Draft, the player most likely to be cut would be the former New England Patriots running back. Damien Harris spent the past four seasons with the Patriots and had over 2,000 rushing yards and 20 rushing touchdowns.

The reason that Damien Harris would have trouble staying on the roster is that the Buffalo Bills already have James Cook, who was a second round pick last year, and Nyheim Hines, who the team traded for last offseason and also restructured his contract that makes it unlikely he is released before the 2023 season.

The addition of Damien Harris completes the running back position for the upcoming season in my opinion and I don’t believe they even consider drafting another running back. However, if they were then Damien Harris’ time in Buffalo might be short-lived.
