The 2023 NFL Draft is less than a week away and the Buffalo Bills are putting the final touches on their preparation for the three day event.

Prior to this, Buffalo Bills have done a good job addressing a number of needs this offseason with some of the moves they have made like re-signing Jordan Poyer and signing free agent Connor McGovern. However, the front office is entering the first round on Thursday night with plenty of questions still left unanswered in terms of how they approach the NFL Draft and the best way they see to address some of those final needs.

These are the five biggest questions for the Bills heading into the 2023 NFL Draft.

Will the Buffalo Bills make a trade in the first round?

The biggest question for the Buffalo Bills and the answer to this question will drive their strategy for the remainder of the NFL Draft, is whether or not the team makes a trade in the opening round. The Bills currently have the 27th overall pick and depending on how Brandon Beane views the roster will be a big determining factor in the move they make.

If Brandon Beane believes they are only one impact rookie away from surpassing the Chiefs and Bengals in the AFC, the Bills could trade up in the first round. However, if the cost is too much and the Bills don’t find a trade that makes sense, they could trade back in the first round or completely out of the first round.

The idea of trading back is one that Brandon Beane indicated is more likely. This would make sense as it would get them a few more picks and help them add more depth to the roster.
