Buffalo Bills might not need to trade up too high to select Wright

Darnell Wright has been mocked in some cases as high as number 11 to the Chicago Bears, if this is the case, no thanks, the cost to move up that high is not worth it.

However, if he falls into the 20s, this might make more sense for the Bills.  Let’s take a quick look at the draft value chart, per walterfootball.com.  For the Bills to move up from 27 to 20, we’re looking at a difference of 170 points.  That is basically the equivalent of the 84th overall pick in round three.

The Buffalo Bills highest third-round selection is the 91st overall, so a team might be willing to take that; otherwise, the Bills would have to add another pick late in the draft, or maybe instead of this year’s third-round pick, they could make it a 2024 pick.

There is also the option of using the 27th pick, plus a player to move up to the 20th.  All this is assuming the Bills would need to go that high, it’s very possible he could fall even further, making a move up even easier.  It really depends on the other team’s evaluation of whether or not Wright is a better prospect than either of Harrison or Jones.
