Skill players the Buffalo Bills should trade up for: Quentin Johnston, WR, TCU

Lastly, Quentin Johnston is the most enticing prospect when it comes to his fit with the Bills. We all thought Gabe Davis was going to be that bigger-bodied wideout who could be the deep threat and go up and make the big plays. At times, Davis has been that guy. But, the inconsistency has gotten to the point where Buffalo has to look at finding a new WR2.

If Johnston ends up being your WR2, then you’re doing pretty well for yourself. He’s the biggest of the top-end wide receivers, and would give Allen a guy he can simply throw it up to in hopes of a receiver making a big play.

One of the most impressive parts of Johnston’s game is his ability to eat up space in a hurry. He’s got long, strong legs and with those types of strides, Johnston could look like he’s moving in slow motion, yet blazing past deep coverage in a hurry. It’s no wonder Johnston averaged 19.0 yards per reception throughout his collegiate career.

The size and speed combination gives Johnston the potential to be a lethal weapon at the next level. With defensive backs planning around Diggs, they’d have to seriously re-think their strategy with a man the size of Johnston on the field.
