WR. Michael Wilson. player. Pick Analysis. 871. Scouting Report. Stanford. 3

In the third round, the Bills get that other wide receiver they have needed to pair with Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis. Stanford’s Michael Wilson is a polarizing prospect within this year’s class, mostly because of his durability questions. Wilson has suffered a pair of season-ending injuries throughout his collegiate career, and that’s the top reason to be hesitant when looking at drafting him.

The positive, though, comes via several areas. At first glance, his near 6-foot-2 frame and weight (216lbs) prove he has ideal size and mass for the position. He carries his weight well, is plenty strong and yet, can run a variety of routes at a high level. His footwork is actually fairly impressive considering his size.

Wilson is also sneaky fast, being able to slide past defensive backs on a regular basis mostly due to his adjustment in play speed and footwork. Defensive backs have a hard time knowing just when he’ll break or whether or not he’ll accelerate straight.

When it comes to the big play, Wilson is in control of his body and can go up to make the difficult grabs in traffic. He’ll offer the Bills a WR3 with potential to be the WR2 if he can stay healthy.
