3 reasons the Buffalo Bills re-signing Jordan Poyer was a win for all

Buffalo pulled on Poyer’s heartstrings
Buffalo is where Jordan Poyer became who he is, as a player and person. The community and team are what seems to be the biggest reason he returned. In his press conference after re-signing, Poyer told the media, “Being here is what’s going to make me happy, being here with the guys I’m with and the community I’ve grown to love.”
Poyer was nearly brought to tears explaining how happy he was to be back. The first thing he did after re-signing was tweet at his counterpart and good friend, Micah Hyde. Poyer tagged the fellow Bills’ safety and said, “Hey bud,” with the waving hand emoji. The star safety tandem appears to be thrilled to continue playing together.
Although he made no mention of it, his legacy had to play a large role in returning. Helping to bring Buffalo their first-ever Superbowl would enshrine him in Buffalonian glory forever.
In six seasons with the Buffalo Bills, Jordan Poyer has 582 tackles, 33 tackles-for-loss, 10 sacks, 22 interceptions, 44 passes defended, and seven forced fumbles. Poyer has cemented himself as one of the best safeties to ever play for the Bills. If he finishes his career in Buffalo like he intends to, it’s not out of the realm of him potentially going down as the best Bills’ safety ever.
