Isaac Seumalo and A.J. Cann

Isaac Seumalo was a third round pick by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2016 NFL Draft and was primarily a backup before becoming a full-time starter in 2019 when he would start every regular season game. Unfortunately, the next two seasons would be impacted by injuries and he would play only 12 games during that stretch.

This past season, Seumalo stayed healthy and would start every game for the Eagles and be a key part of an offensive line that was considered one of the best in the NFL. If the Bills were to sign Seumalo, he likely would be viewed more as a long-term answer in comparison to the other guard mentioned above in A.J. Cann, who probably is added with a one-year deal.

A.J. Cann has been in the league for eight years, playing seven with the Jacksonville Jaguars before joining the Houston Texans last offseason. However, he would play only one season after being released when Houston traded for Shaq Mason.

At 32 years old, Cann can still be a starting guard and would be an upgrade for the Buffalo Bills. They already have signed Connor McGovern to play left guard but either Isaac Seumalo or A.J. Cann could replace Ryan Bates, and allow him to be the primary backup.
