Available free agents to help Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen: Ezekiel Elliott, RB

A big name to hit the free agent market recently, Ezekiel Elliott, is now attempting to find only his second pro team since entering the league. The longtime Dallas Cowboys tailback was finally let go for financial reasons, and due to the fact that Tony Pollard appears set to take over the job going forward.

The Bills ran the ball often and well last season, behind Josh Allen, Devin Singletary and James Cook, for the most part. But, with Singletary a free agent and there being an upgrade to be had, the Bills should look at someone like Elliott for just a one or two-year rental. After all, this is a Super Bowl-minded roster that’s just missing a couple of pieces.

Elliott’s experience, especially in short yardage and around the goal line, could compliment Cook well. Elliott isn’t the same guy he once was, but the 27-year-old veteran can still be a capable back in a split backfield. Last season, he finished with a career low 3.8 yards per carry. But, he did find the end zone 12 times on the ground.

The Bills definitely need to add another running back, whether it be via free agency or the draft. Why not see what they could get Elliott for?
