This NFL free agency period has been wild to start, and that should come as no surprise. The Buffalo Bills haven’t been extremely active, although they’ve made some notable decisions.

Aside from signing guard Connor McGovern, Buffalo’s most significant decisions have come in-house. They were able to re-sign safety Jordan Poyer while also restructuring the deals of a few veteran players, in order to find some cap relief.

After the first few initial days, there is still plenty of talent available. Primarily, there is a lot of talent that could help out quarterback Josh Allen and the offense. It’s felt like this group is one more playmaker away from truly taking the next step.

So, who’s still out there at the moment? There are three particular veterans that would make sense to come in and help Allen.

Available free agents to help Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen: DJ Chark, WR

Back in 2019, DJ Chark made his first and only Pro Bowl after going over 1,000 receiving yards and hauling in eight touchdowns with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Since then, he has not yet topped that mark again.

But, he’s still a nice complimentary receiver with excellent straight-line speed. The Bills could use another deep threat and could potentially keep Gabe Davis in the slot if they signed someone like Chark. Davis’ size might benefit the Bills coming out of the slot on a regular basis, while Chark’s deep speed gives the offense a big play threat.

In five seasons, Chark has totaled 177 receptions for over 2,500 yards and 18 touchdowns. He would also come fairly cheap, considering last year he posted a ho-hum 30 receptions for 502 yards and three scores.
