The Buffalo Bills have not been very active in the legal tampering period and the focus has appeared to be more around bringing back players from last season like Tyrel Dodson, Tyler Matakevich and Sam Martin while also ensuring their salary cap is in line for the upcoming season.

The Bills did reportedly add guard Connor McGovern earlier in the week and Deonte Harty looks to be the second free agent they have added this week, as Adam Schefter broke the news Wednesday morning. The former New Orleans Saint is an experienced returner with upside at wide receiver moving forward.

With that in mind, these are three players likely impacted the most moving forward and heading into the 2023 season.

Isaiah McKenzie

The most obvious is wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie as Deonte Harty seems to bring a similar skill set to what McKenzie has in the past. Both players are smaller, slot receivers but have good speed and quickness that allows them to separate.

Last season, McKenzie was expected to take over for Cole Beasley in the slot but would see his snaps diminish as the season went along and the Bills even brought back Beasley towards the end of the regular season.

It would be surprising to see the Buffalo Bills release Isaiah McKenzie at this point of the offseason but I would expect these two to go into training camp competing for the same spot on the 53-man roster.
