Veteran free agents the Buffalo Bills can sign to fill Von Miller’s void: Jadeveon Clowney

If the Bills wanted to go after one of the biggest draft busts of the last decade, look no further than former number one overall pick Jadeveon Clowney.

Say what you want, but Clowney is a good football player. He’s not great, but he’s still worth starting on the right roster. Like a lot of the aging veterans on this list, Clowney is someone who could flourish with a good defense around him. Although he’s never tallied double-digit sacks, Clowney is still a disruptive player with great athleticism.

At age 30, Clowney has to realize that he is not going to be the all-world player he set out to be out of college. He’s also got a bit of an attitude issue, depending on how you view his fallout in Cleveland last year.

Like some of the other guys on this list, Clowney would also come fairly cheap based on his mere 2.0 sacks last year. For someone the Bills would need just to begin the season and could work into the rotation even after Miller is back, Clowney is worth pursuing, but maybe not until the second wave of free agency.
