Bobby Wagner

Bobby Wagner isn’t a free agent yet but is expected to be after it was reported last month that the Los Angeles Rams were planning to release the former All-Pro. Wagner was a long-time Seattle Seahawks starting linebacker but was released last offseason as Seattle took the franchise in a different direction after the trade of Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos.

He would sign a five-year deal with the Rams last offseason but his time in Los Angeles looks to be short-lived as the Rams appear to have made this move to create some needed cap space.

Even at 32 years old, Wagner had an excellent season with the Rams with 140 total tackles, two interceptions, five passes defended and six sacks. The Rams didn’t have the same success as the prior year but this was not due to the performance of Wagner as the issue was on the offensive side of the ball with numerous injuries to key players.

While he won’t be a long-term solution for the Buffalo Bills he certainly could be a leader for a defense that is losing a lot of experience.
