Another player who is a free agent and had Joe Danna as their safety coach is Ronnie Harrison, who was with the Cleveland Browns for the past three seasons. However, prior to that, he played two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars with Danna as his position coach for the 2018 season.

In five seasons, Harrison has played in 67 games with 45 career starts. He has 223 total tackles, 5.5 sacks, 5 interceptions, and 23 passes defended.

During his time in Cleveland, his performance was up and down as the opposing quarterbacks had a QB rating of 81.2 and completed only one touchdown on Harrison in 2020 but those numbers jumped to a QB rating of 113.0 and six touchdowns in 2021.

Harrison returned to the Browns on a one-year deal last year and he bounced back and didn’t allow a single touchdown on 17 targets.

Ronnie Harrison isn’t at the level of Jordan Poyer in terms of coverage but he is certainly better than Jonathan Owens and wouldn’t be as much of a liability. He is an excellent box safety that can drop back into coverage every once in a while.
