Mazi Smith

Another player who could fill the role as a one-tech in the Buffalo Bills defense is Mazi Smith, who played three seasons with the Michigan Wolverines.

He would finish with 88 total tackles, five tackles for a loss, and 0.5 sacks during that stretch but his impact goes beyond those stats. Smith is a player who can command double teams and allows linebackers clear paths to close on the ball carrier.

It remains to be seen though if Mazi Smith will be able to participate on Thursday in the NFL Combine. On Wednesday, he did not appear for his media session and Aaron McCann with MLive.com reported that he would not appear due to delays for his medical evaluations.

Mazi Smith is similar to Ika in that he doesn’t bring much in terms of pass rush but would be a great player to rotate with DaQuan Jones or pair alongside Ed Oliver to solidify the interior of this line.
