The final player is another one who is a good player but might not get the recognition he should with the other players he plays alongside. Khalen Saunders was a third round pick by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2019 NFL Draft but it wasn’t until this season that he really made an impact.

He would play in 16 games for the Chiefs and set career highs in total tackles (48), sacks (3.5), and QB hits (8). Saunders also had a big game in the Super Bowl this past year with two tackles and a sack against the Eagles.

One of the biggest concerns with Saunders is injuries as in the two years prior to 2022, he would end up on injured reserve with an elbow injury in 2020 and a knee injury in 2021.

If the Buffalo Bills were to sign Khalen Saunders, he would likely be expected to be more of a pass-rushing defensive tackle which is where he excels more than against the run. However, he could fit in nicely as a player to rotate with Ed Oliver or even play alongside on passing downs.
