Isaiah McKenzie
The Buffalo Bills re-signed Isaiah McKenzie this past offseason to a two-year deal and the expectation was that he would compete with Jamison Crowder for the starting slot receiver spot after the team released Cole Beasley.
This was McKenzie’s first real chance to earn a starting spot in this offense and he looked like he was going to do that with an incredible training camp. He was the clear starter entering the season but didn’t seem like much of a factor in this offense as the year went along.
Similar to Davis, McKenzie saw his catch rate drop from the prior year down to 65% and he had a career-high in drops with six. It seemed like this was enough of a concern that the Buffalo Bills brought back Cole Beasley during the season.
McKenzie should still be part of this option but probably more of a gadget player that can be moved around and have his quickness utilized better.
