What do the Buffalo Bills do with their offensive line?

There is no question that the offensive line was an issue for the Buffalo Bills and this offense last season. The Bills brought in Rodger Saffold in free agency last year and the hope was that with a returning Ryan Bates and Spencer Brown improving from his rookie season, that the offensive line could get the job done.

Unfortunately, that didn’t materialize the way they hoped and the Bills now seem to have more questions for the offensive line than they did this time last year. While it is clear that they need to upgrade at offensive guard, the biggest question seems to be at right tackle and what they do with Spencer Brown.

There is no debate that Brown struggled last year and didn’t improve from his rookie season. According to Pro Football Focus, he allowed only four sacks but that number probably would have been much higher if it wasn’t for the mobility of Josh Allen. The Bills should bring in competition for Spencer Brown this offseason but does that come in free agency or through the NFL Draft (and likely an early round draft pick)?

It will be interesting to see how they approach the offensive line this offseason and what they do to try and improve it.
