The Buffalo Bills appear to be entering a pivotal offseason for the franchise with general manager Brandon Beane and head coach Sean McDermott. Since both joined the Bills in 2017, they have had tremendous success with five playoff trips in six years, four straight seasons with double-digit wins, and winning the AFC East for three consecutive seasons.

However, they have seemingly hit a ceiling as they can’t reach the Super Bowl with their season ending in the AFC Divisional Round in consecutive years. This offseason there are going to have to be some tough decisions for this team from what players they bring back, who they commit to long term, and how they fix key issues with limited cap space.

Do the Buffalo Bills re-sign Jordan Poyer?

One of the first moves Sean McDermott made as head coach was signing free agent Jordan Poyer. He has been a key part of their defense over the past six years and has seemingly gotten better every year to the point that he got his first All-Pro nomination last year and his first Pro Bowl selection this year.

The challenge for the Buffalo Bills is how much they commit to Poyer, who will be 32 years old entering this season, and will they be outbid in free agency. The Bills are going to have to decide if it makes sense to commit the limited cap space they create after a few roster moves to someone like Jordan Poyer in hopes of keeping that Super Bowl window open or trying to find a younger replacement.
