James Cook isn’t the only running back that should have a bigger role in 2023 and the coaching staff needs to do a better job of getting Nyheim Hines involved in this offense. The Bills traded for Hines during the season and the thought was that he could be another pass catcher for Josh Allen to keep the ball moving.

However, in his 10 games with the Bills he played 10 or more offensive snaps in only four of them and didn’t have more than two targets in any game with Buffalo. That is a very big difference from when he was with the Indianapolis Colts to begin the season as he appeared in 10 or more snaps in six of the first seven games and had five or more targets in four of those games.

Nyheim Hines is a player that can be moved around and lined up in the backfield or out wide as a wide receiver. He is a player that doesn’t need to be on the field a lot but giving him 20+ snaps each game with 4 or 5 targets would allow him to have a similar impact as he did with the Colts.
