Bold predictions for Bills vs. Bengals: Buffalo runs for over 200 yards
Speaking of turning this game ugly, the Bills are going to do so on both sides of the ball. Buffalo is capable of running the football and running it well, so long as they commit to doing so. The Bengals have gotten in most trouble this year when teams are able to run on them and thus control the clock.
Burrow is as dangerous a quarterback as there is in this league, but that requires him to be on the field. If Buffalo wants to limit his chances, they’ll have to control the clock and run the football with authority. That means using all weapons at their disposal. Whether it’s Devin Singletary, James Cook or even Nyheim Hines in some creative aspects, the Bills have to stick to the run game.
And that’s exactly what they do here today, rushing for over 200 yards on the day.
There’s no better way to limit potential Josh Allen miscues than to simply pound the rock. Remember, the last time these Bengals lost a game, it was when Cleveland put up 172 yards on the ground back in late October, and on 44 carries.
The Bills will need a similar effort in this one, and they’ll get it.
