It took all the way until there was just two seconds remaining in the game, but Bills kicker Tyler Bass finally saw the field to attempt a field goal.

That field goal would be the one to not only complete a fourth quarter comeback over a division rival in the Miami Dolphins, but also the kick to send these Buffalo Bills back to the NFL playoffs for the fourth time in as many seasons.

Buffalo held onto the AFC’s number one seed after they defeated Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins on Saturday night. They could rest easy knowing nothing that could happen on Sunday would change their playoff positioning.

However, the Bills almost got even more of a cushion when the Houston Texans nearly knocked off the Kansas City Chiefs before giving it up in overtime.

Still, these Bills are headed for late January football once again, and this time hopefully it leads to a Super Bowl run.

Making the playoffs in four-straight seasons proves Josh Allen and the Bills are officially amongst the AFC’s elite.

In a league dominated by guys like Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson, it’s Josh Allen who continues to prove he belongs in that upper echelon.

Everybody knows what the Mahomes magic is all about. He’s been at the top of the AFC for a few years now as “the guy.” Yet, it’s the Bills who are still sitting above those Chiefs in playoff positioning as the number one seed.

Jackson is one of the most exciting players in football, but he’s struggled with injuries in recent seasons.

Even Justin Herbert has not looked perfect this season. Joe Burrow has had his struggles.

Still, Allen just had one of the best performances of his career, and just at the right time. The regular season is winding down. It was a divisional game against Miami. Allen stepped up and made all the plays when it mattered most, and here the Bills are now continuing to ride high as the number one team in the conference.

Four-straight playoff appearances don’t happen by accident. The Bills’ victory over Miami puts the last four years into summation. They’ve built the roster needed to win a Super Bowl, and even despite some injuries this season, Buffalo is set up for a run.
