Josh Allen for MVP, Reason No. 3: Josh Allen is tied to one of the best receivers in the NFL

Throughout NFL history, and specifically when looking at MVP winners, they’re frequently tied to a counter-part that’s among the league’s best.

Aaron Rodgers had Davante Adams, Patrick Mahomes had Travis Kelce, Tom Brady had Rob Gronkowski, Matt Ryan had Julio Jones, etc.

But what about Lamar Jackson and Cam Newton when they won?

They both had an ability to be effective both on the ground and through the air— a skill set Josh Allen possesses, too.

The point is, Josh Allen is about as valuable to a team as they come. And while that’s the major point, Allen’s also paired up with elite talent in Stefon Diggs.

That doesn’t only help the Buffalo Bills, but it helps Josh Allen in his MVP race.

He’ll have to play lights-out the rest of the season, but that’s far from unlikely.
