Offensive Line

One of the reasons for the success on the ground for the Buffalo Bills this week was because of the blocking up front. The Bills’ offensive line, particularly the interior, really controlled this part of the field and was freeing up big lanes for Singletary and Cook.

This group also did a good job protecting Josh Allen for most of the game, outside of a sack by Myles Garrett. That play really was only possible due to an incredible spin move on Dion Dawkins and it is hard to blame the left tackle for the result. More importantly, that one sack was really the only play Garrett had all day and that is a testament to how well Dawkins and the rest of the offensive line did.

Defensive Line

The Buffalo Bills defensive line faced a big challenge this week as the Browns have one of the better offensive lines in the league. They do an excellent job creating running lanes for Nick Chubb, who entered Week 11 with already over 900 rushing yards.

However, the Bills group of defensive ends and tackles really controlled the line of scrimmage and didn’t give up much of anything as Chubb and Kareem Hunt combined for only 51 rushing yards. There was also a sequence of plays where the Bills stopped the Browns on consecutive QB sneaks as they tried to pick up just one yard on third and fourth down.
