Ed Oliver and DaQuan Jones

The final two players that stood out are ones that are sometimes overlooked but their impact this week is hard to ignore. The interior of the defensive line led by Ed Oliver and DaQuan Jones did an incredible job against a very good Browns’ offensive line.

The Browns were not able to do much of anything on the ground as Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt combined for only 51 rushing yards. Nick Chubb had only 19 rushing yards and that is the lowest of his career in games where he had double digit carries.

Both Oliver and Jones made big plays as Oliver had three tackles for a loss while Jones had three total tackles but also a blocked field goal in the second half. This was the Bills’ first blocked field goal attempt of the season.

The Bills run defense had been much improved this year up until the past few weeks. It was great to see them get back to playing that type of defense and shutting down the opposing run game and the defensive tackles were a big part of that.
