4 Buffalo Bills who stood out in Week 10 against the Minnesota Vikings
Damar Hamlin
The Buffalo Bills’ secondary has been in a tough position all season without the strength of their defense for a majority of it, which is the safety duo of Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer. However, one player that has seized the opportunity recently has been Damar Hamlin.
Damar Hamlin was a sixth round pick by the Buffalo Bills last year and was relatively unknown since he didn’t play much as a rookie with Hyde and Poyer playing almost every defensive snap last season. The thought was that Jaquan Johnson was ahead of Hamlin on the depth chart but it was Hamlin that replaced Hyde after he suffered the neck injury and has started every game since Week 3.
Since the bye, Hamlin has really improved and been an impact player for this defense with double-digit tackles each game as well as a sack last week against the New York Jets at a pivotal point of the game.
In the game against the Vikings, Hamlin led the defense in tackles with 11 and also added one tackle for a loss. With all the injuries, Hamlin has been one of the bright spots for this defense.
