For the second straight week, the Buffalo Bills had a double digit lead and saw the opposing team take the lead in the final minutes. However, unlike the game against the New York Jets, Josh Allen was able to get the offense down the field and force overtime.
However, the Bills would ultimately come up short as Josh Allen would throw his second interception of the game as he looked for Gabe Davis in the back of the end zone and the Buffalo Bills would lose 33-30 and fall to 6-3 on the season.
These are the top takeaways for the Buffalo Bills in Week 10 against the Minnesota Vikings.
Buffalo Bills have new starters against the Minnesota Vikings
The Buffalo Bills entered Week 10 with some new starters, some out of necessity due to injuries but others due to coaches’ decisions. One of those starts due to injuries was A.J. Epenesa at defensive end in place of Greg Rousseau who was out due to an ankle injury. The Buffalo Bills also had Christian Benford start in place of fellow rookie Kaiir Elam.
However, the other two were changes seemingly based on the coaches’ decisions with Cam Lewis getting the start at safety instead of Jaquan Johnson in place of Jordan Poyer and Duke Johnson returning kickoffs instead of Isaiah McKenzie. The switch to Johnson might have been due to the weather as McKenzie has had ball security issues returning kicks dating back to last year.
In the end, all four players did a really good job as starters and will give the coaching staff some things to think about heading into next week.
