Will the Buffalo Bills extend their season win streak in Week 9 against the New York Jets?

The Buffalo Bills are entering Week 9 with a four-game win streak after their win over the Green Bay Packers. They are in first place in the AFC East with a 6-1 record but will be playing a New York Jets team that surprisingly is in second place.

The Jets have drastically improved over last season due to their improvements on the defensive side of the ball and have a 5-3 record. They have a Top 10 defense in passing yards allowed (203.4), rushing yards allowed (108), and just outside the Top 10 in points allowed (19.9).

The biggest question for the Jets this week will be whether or not their offense can keep up with Josh Allen and the Bills offense. Zach Wilson has struggled at times this year and made a number of questionable decisions that end up in turnovers.

Last week against the Patriots, the former second overall pick did throw for over 350 passing yards and two touchdowns but also threw three interceptions. Those turnovers ultimately cost his team the win and I think this will once again be the story in this game.

Week 9 Final Score Prediction: Buffalo Bills 24, New York Jets 6

The New York Jets are a young team and certainly have made improvements but entering this game the Buffalo Bills are still the better team. The Jets’ defense will be challenged by Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills should find some success but it might not be a high-scoring game like they have been capable of.

The good news for the Buffalo Bills is that they have one of the best defenses in the league and they don’t always need those big games from Josh Allen. The defense is a veteran group that should be able to confuse and capitalize on mistakes by Zach Wilson to limit what the Jets can put on the scoreboard.

It would not be surprising to see the Bills build an early lead in this one and force the New York Jets to play from behind for the entire game.
