Buffalo Bills trade Isaiah Hodgins to the New York Giants

New York Giants receive WR Isaiah Hodgins

The Buffalo Bills had a number of injuries at wide receiver to begin the season with Gabe Davis, Isaiah McKenzie, Jamison Crowder, and Jake Kumerow all missing at least one game. The good news is that all have been able to return except for Crowder, who likely is done for the year with an ankle injury.

The Bills have great depth at the position when everyone is healthy and they are forced to make a good player like Isaiah Hodgins inactive, like what happened on Sunday night against the Packers. He showed earlier this year in the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers that he can be productive.

This could interest a team like the New York Giants who don’t have the same depth at the position. The Giants have been a surprise team this year with a 6-2 record in the first year with head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen. Both were with Buffalo last year and have a good idea of the talent on the roster and what a player like Hodgins could bring to their offense.

It would make sense for them to be interested in a player like Hodgins as he would likely not have as much of a learning curve playing in Daboll’s offense the past few seasons.
