The Buffalo Bills are rested off a bye week
The Bills needed the rest after the defense has been depleted especially the secondary. The Bills will have a healthy defense this week for the first time in a while and after a big win at Arrowhead, the Bills are feeling good at 5-1 on the season.
Not only does the bye week bring much-needed rest it also gives the Bills a head start on preparation for the Packers while self-scouting what they’ve done good and bad so far this season. The Bills will benefit from the two-week rest to get the majority of injured players back to help strengthen an already stout defense even with injuries.
The secondary was struggling with injuries as All-Pro safety Jordan Poyer was battling through injuries in the Kansas City game. He was able to get some rest and reset for the upcoming long stretch of football ahead. He announced on Wednesday that he is cleared and won’t have to worry about having to drive to any away games.
This extra time for preparation for Sean McDermott and the rest of the coaching staff will play in Buffalo’s favor.
