A.J. Epenesa

The final player is one that the Buffalo Bills likely wouldn’t actively shop but if they were to get a call probably would listen depending on the offer. Defensive end A.J. Epenesa started the year off with a big game with 1.5 sacks in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams.

However, since that game he has been inconsistent and hasn’t made the same impact. He has only three total tackles and one sack over the last five games, including two games with no stats. One of the big concerns with Epenesa has been consistency from week to week and that once again appears to be an issue this season.

Based on the snap counts over the past three weeks, it would appear that Epenesa has fallen down to fifth in the rotation at the position with Shaq Lawson playing more snaps each week than the former second round pick.

The fact that A.J. Epenesa is only 24 years old and is on his rookie contract through next season, he could generate some interest around the league and bring back a third or fourth round pick. If the Bills are able to get a draft pick like that, it wouldn’t be surprising to see them move Epenesa before the deadline.
