The Buffalo Bills were entering Week 4 in what seemed like a must-win for this franchise after a disappointing performance against the Miami Dolphins. They were going to be facing a Baltimore Ravens team that was looking to keep their momentum going after a win over the New England Patriots.

It seemed like the home team was going to be on their way to a 3-1 record as they built a 20-3 lead in the second quarter. However, it would be all Buffalo from that point forward as they made the plays when they needed them to score 20 straight points to come away with the win on a last-second field goal from Tyler Bass.

When looking at this game, these are some of the top takeaways for the Buffalo Bills in Week 4.

Buffalo Bills once again play a sloppy brand of football in the first half

The Buffalo Bills have done an excellent job of getting out to an early lead dating back to last season. They entered this game with a streak of eight straight games with a touchdown on their opening drive.

However, this season after that drive the Bills would struggle in the first half and let teams remain close. Entering this game, the Bills have had four of their five turnovers this season occur in the first half, and in two of their first three games, they were tied at halftime with their opponent.

This week against the Ravens, the Bills once again were not effective on offense in the first two quarters with two turnovers and had only 10 points.

It hasn’t been that much of an issue this season with the Bills now 3-1 but the reason is due to this next takeaway.
