After the first two games of the season where the Buffalo Bills were able to win with ease, they faced some adversity last week against the Miami Dolphins. There is plenty of excuses for why the Bills came up short, most notably a team dealing with injuries coming into the game and then having to try and manage sweltering heat.

Even with everything working against them, the Bills found themselves in a position to win late but once again couldn’t come away with a win in a close game. This is something that the Buffalo Bills will eventually have to remedy, especially if they hope to make a deep playoff run.

Unfortunately, this week it appears the Bills once again will have to deal with players missing the game due to injuries and weather as the forecast is calling for rain all day on Sunday.

The good news though is that the Buffalo Bills still have Josh Allen, who has an excellent matchup against a Ravens defense that is allowing the most passing yards in the league. However, the Ravens also have an excellent quarterback in Lamar Jackson that will set the table for a back-and-forth, high-scoring matchup.

Final Score Prediction: Buffalo Bills: 48, Baltimore Ravens 45

The weather certainly could keep the scoring down but when teams have quarterbacks like Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson playing at the level they do, the weather typically doesn’t make much of an impact. Last week in the heat, Josh Allen was still able to throw for 400 yards and two touchdowns with another 57 rushing yards.

The Bills’ defense to this point has been excellent, especially considering the injuries they have had to deal with. However, they haven’t faced a quarterback like Lamar Jackson yet this season, and combine that with a running back like J.K. Dobbins, who is getting healthier after his ACL injury last year, both teams are going to be able to put up points.

The Buffalo Bills unfortunately will see their streak of 21 consecutive wins by double digits come to an end but they will also answer the bigger question about whether they can win close games. This week, they will come away with a win in what is probably going to be one of the more exciting games this season.
