James Cook

It has been somewhat of a slow start for James Cook to his NFL career. In Week 1, the rookie had only one carry, which he would fumble, and then wasn’t involved much after that. In Week 2, Cook would get 11 carries late in the game against the Titans when the outcome was pretty much already decided and he ran well.

This past week against the Dolphins, the former University of Georgia running back started to be a bigger factor during the course of the game and had five touches, including four receptions for 37 yards.

The involvement in the passing game is where Cook has seemingly always had the best chance to make an impact as a rookie and this week I believe that role is going to grow even more. Through the first three games, the Ravens have given up the third most receptions in the NFL to running backs (25) and the fourth most receiving yards (162).

The Bills should continue to utilize the short passing game as they did against the Dolphins and James Cook should have over five receptions and a good chance to score his first NFL touchdown this week.
