Once again the Buffalo Bills are likely going to be short-handed with a long injury report that includes seven players who are questionable. However, this is a deep roster and the Buffalo Bills have a number of players who are talented and can make big impacts on the outcome of the game.

When looking at this matchup with the Baltimore Ravens, these are three players who are going to be x-factors for the Buffalo Bills in Week 4.

The number one goal for the Buffalo Bills defense this week is to try and contain quarterback Lamar Jackson. He is playing excellent football and through the first three weeks should be considered the MVP of the league.

One of the things that makes him so challenging is his elusiveness in the pocket but also his ability to break off big runs after escaping the pocket. The Bills are going to need their defensive ends, like Von Miller and Greg Rousseau, to play disciplined and set the edge.

If they are able to do that, it can limit what Jackson is able to do on the ground but nickel cornerback Taron Johnson also will play a role in this as he lines up inside near the defensive line.

In addition to trying to help contain the run, Johnson will also draw Devin Duvernay in coverage. The Ravens’ slot receiver has gotten off to a great start with eight receptions, 121 receiving yards, and three touchdowns. He has more than doubled his yards per game average from 15 yards per game his first two years to 40.3 this year and has already set a career-high in receiving touchdowns.

This will be a week where Taron Johnson will be asked to do a lot but if he can help in these two areas, it will be a big boost for the defense.
