Who is the ‘next man up’ for the Buffalo Bills with latest round of injuries?
Cornerbacks
The Buffalo Bills entered last week’s game against the Miami Dolphins already missing Tre’Davious White, who has been on the PUP list and then had Dane Jackson out with a neck injury.
The Bills would begin the game with Christian Benford and Kaiir Elam but Benford would leave early due to a hand injury. He would be replaced by undrafted free agent rookie Ja’Marcus Ingram and he played well in his first career NFL game.
For this Sunday’s game against the Ravens, the coaching staff has a number of options but may have their decision made for them. If Dane Jackson is able to return from his neck injury then the Buffalo Bills are able to have Jackson and Elam start at cornerback with Ja’Marcus Ingram and Cam Lewis as the backups.
If Jackson is not able to go, it becomes a little trickier and the team could have Elam and Ingram start with Siran Neal joining Lewis as the backups.
The potential good news is that after this game, Tre’Davious White would be eligible to return to practice and opens the door for his return in Week 5 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. This is not necessarily a guarantee but after sitting out the required four games, it could be an option.
