How do the Buffalo Bills address the latest round of injuries?
The Buffalo Bills entered Week 3 with a long list of injuries and unfortunately, that list only grew coming out of their loss with the Miami Dolphins.
On Monday, head coach Sean McDermott told reporters that Christian Benford suffered a fractured hand against the Miami Dolphins. He is expected to have surgery tomorrow and the Buffalo Bills head coach said it would be a “few weeks give or take”.
In addition to that, starting guard Ryan Bates is in concussion protocol and backup offensive lineman Tommy Doyle suffered a torn ACL. While it remains to be seen when Bates will return, Tommy Doyle’s season is now over with his injury.
McDermott also announced that Jake Kumerow suffered a high-ankle sprain and is week-to-week, which usually means he will miss at least Sunday’s game with the Baltimore Ravens.
It is likely to be another week of ‘next man up’ for the Buffalo Bills as the coaching staff once again will have to determine how to replace a number of key contributors. These are the potential options at cornerback, guard, and wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills in the coming weeks.
